AviationTag Iberia McDonnell Douglas MD-88 - EC-FJE White

Bienvenido MD-88 EC-FJE!

Our latest Aviationtag Edition comes from the McDonnell Douglas MD-88 with the registration EC-FJE. Delivered in 1991, this aircraft initially served the Spanish airline Aviaco and flew under their colors until 1999, when Aviaco was taken over by the new owner Iberia. Iberia christened the aircraft "Gibralfaro" and continued to use it in scheduled services.

After years of service, the MD-88 was parked in Madrid in 2008, awaiting its final chapter. Now, in 2024, we have managed to secure parts of this legendary machine for our latest Aviationtag Edition. Due to the long storage time, the materials show natural signs of wear, which gives every aviation day a very special patina and authenticity.
